Is OrthoWell a concierge?

No. OrthoWell is a membership. We will still bill your insurance for visits. And you will be responsible for co-pays as well as the fees associated with physical therapy, MRI’s, personal training, and all wellness services.

How long is the membership?

OrthoWell is an annual membership. It can be discontinued and renewed at the completion of the year.

What are the fees for OrthoWell membership?

We offer single, couple, and family membership plans. Please contact (239) 260-4579 or patrick@orthowellmembership.com with questions regarding the fees and plan that is best for you.

Am I a candidate for OrthoWell membership?

Yes. Whether you want an annual membership for the recovery from a surgery, or you are looking for the long-term management of your musculoskeletal wellness. Even if you have a family full of athlete’s that need orthopedic coverage, OrthoWell has you covered. We are here to serve our community and ensure our patients maintain the activity level and function they desire.

What is my access to Dr. Joyner with the membership?

You have 24/7/365 access to Dr. Joyner while a member. After routine business hours, and on the weekends, it is recommended to minimize the texting as responses can be delayed. Additionally, after regular hours, on the weekends, and while the doctor is away, one of Dr. Joyner’s Physician Assistants (PA) may be responsible for responding to your questions. Dr. Joyner also has three orthopedic surgeon partners that are available. Finally, if a true-life threatening injury or a severe injury should occur, please do not text or email, we ask that you call to speak to Dr. Joyner. Finally, in case of a severe injury, it may be in your best interest to call 911 prior to calling Dr. Joyner.

Will Dr. Joyner visit me outside of the office or hospital?

Dr. Joyner does not make house calls or visit rehabilitation centers. All in person visits are performed at the office or, if an inpatient, he may round on you in the hospital.

What is the benefit of being an OrthoWell member?

OrthoWell membership provides you with access to our entire wellness and recovery network. You will have direct access to Dr. Joyner and 24/7 access to his services. OrthoWell ensures you only see Dr. Joyner in the office unless it is an absolute emergency. OrthoWell membership means no more front desk check-in or delays in seeing the doctor. You are always a phone call away from Dr. Joyner and his wellness team. OrthoWell membership means Dr. Joyner will spearhead all of your orthopedic and musculoskeletal care whether you are in the office, with your personal trainer, in the emergency room, or out of town.

Does OrthoWell provide primary care services?

No. OrthoWell is not a substitute for your primary care physician. We are here to be the hub for all your musculoskeletal care and will assume all those wellness responsibilities. But should you have any primary care concerns or other medical concerns you will need to speak with your medical doctor.

Do I still have access to Dr. Joyner if I am not a part of the OrthoWell membership?

Yes. Dr. Joyner is always here to help you with your orthopedic concerns and to serve his hometown and community. However, you will not have direct access to Dr. Joyner outside of the office, nor receive expeditious scheduling. You will always receive the utmost in orthopedic care, but you will not have access to the benefits of OrthoWell.

How many memberships are available?

There will be limited memberships offered. The exclusivity of these memberships will allow Dr. Joyner time to manage the wellness of the patients to the best of his ability and fulfill his commitment to every member of OrthoWell. Limited membership allows Dr. Joyner to be available and provide his patients with the increased quality of care that comes with the membership.

Which hospital is Dr. Joyner affiliated?

Dr. Joyner has privileges at both hospital systems in Collier County (NCH & PRMC), as well as at his surgery center. Dr. Joyner is always available to assist you and care for your orthopedic needs while in the emergency room and hospital. Should you end up in the emergency room, please call Dr. Joyner and he will assist you. If you get surgery, your medical concerns will be managed by a medical doctor in the hospital while your Orthopedic issues are managed by Dr. Joyner and his team. Dr. Joyner and his PA’s make rounds on inpatient service. Dr. Joyner performs his elective surgeries at NCH North hospital on Immokalee Rd and Physician’s Day Surgery center on 111th Ave. Dr. Joyner only has privileges at hospitals in Collier County.

Who do we see if Dr. Joyner is out of town or if we need to be evaluated immediately?

If Dr. Joyner is out of town or if you need to be evaluated earlier then the next day he is in clinic, you can get in to see one of his PA’s with the expediency your membership allows. Dr. Joyner’s PA’s are an extension of him and trained directly by him. They are excellent at providing injections and ordering imaging such at MRi’s. They are in the office 5 days a week.
